You can keep track of the activity of meteor showers as well as those beyond the limits of visual observing by visiting the NASA Meteor Shower Portal.

  • Orionids (ORI): last hour before dawn in northeastern Orion: Up to 10 per hour.
  • Southern Taurids (STA): 1:00 AM in southeastern Aries: 3 per hour.
  • Lambda Ursa Majorids (LUM): last hour before dawn in southern Ursa Major: 1 per hour.
  • Leonis Minorids (LMI): last few hours before dawn in northeastern Leo Minor,: 1 per hour.
  • epsilon Geminids (EGE): last few hours before dawn in northwestern Gemini: 1 per hour.
  • Northern Taurids (NTA): 2:00 AM in central Aries: Less than 1 per hour.
