Outdoor Open House at Chamberlin Observatory
Outdoors on the South lawn of DU’s historic Chamberlin Observatory
2930 E Warren Avenue, Denver (MAP)
July’s Open House features a waxing crescent Moon, the Hercules Cluster (M13), the Ring Nebula (M57), the beautiful double star Albireo, and more!
Members: Please plan to bring your telescopes to set up for public observing!
Event begins at dusk.
If you need to learn how to use your new telescope, come early, bring it with you, and ask our members for assistance as we all set up before dark.
Don’t have your own telescope yet? No problem! Join members of the DAS on the lawn just south of Chamberlin Observatory to view the gems of the night sky through a variety of member telescopes.
Chamberlin will be open for restroom access only, because of a private event happening inside the observatory the same night.
