Outdoor Open House at Chamberlin Observatory – Incorporating International Observe the Moon Night 2022

Outdoors on the South lawn of DU’s historic Chamberlin Observatory
2930 E Warren Avenue, Denver (MAP)

Event begins at dusk. This Open House incorporates International Observe The Moon Night 2022 – Click for Detail

If you need to learn how to use your new telescope, come early, bring it with you, and ask our members for assistance as we all set up before dark.

Don’t have your own telescope yet? No problem! Join members of the DAS on the lawn just south of Chamberlin Observatory to view the gems of the night sky through a variety of member telescopes. The indoor restroom will be available, but the remainder of the observatory will remain closed for now, as our volunteers are not yet ready to resume indoor operations. Volunteers will provide disposable clear glasses that guests can wear in order to view objects while minimizing the risk of contamination. Masks are strongly encouraged, although research shows that outdoor transmission of COVID is extremely rare.

The event is finished.
