Open House at Chamberlin: Saturn! Neptune! Jupiter! Uranus!

Outdoors on the South lawn of DU’s historic Chamberlin Observatory
2930 E Warren Avenue, Denver (MAP)

Event starts at dusk.

December’s Open House features a four-day-old waxing crescent Moon (early). The planets Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, and Uranus will be visible, along with the Orion Nebula
and other nighttime treats.

One more treat:
The caroling group Encore
(a subset of the Colorado Chorale)
will sing at the Open House, starting
around 6:00 p.m.

****

Members: Please plan to bring your telescopes to set up for public observing!

If you need to learn how to use your new telescope, come early, bring it with you, and ask our members for assistance as we set up before dark.

Don’t have your own telescope yet? No problem! Join members of the DAS
on the lawn just south of Chamberlin Observatory to view the gems of the night sky through a variety of member telescopes.

The event is finished.
