You’re invited to enjoy Sandstone Ranch Open Space’s New Stargazing Site at Night

Registration for this event will close on the evening of Wednesday, July 8.  Please register before that date.

This event is for people who wish to observe and enjoy the night sky. Plan to set up your telescope while it’s still light, attend an informational talk as it gets dark, then head out to practice your skills when the stars are out.  Our new site has many power outlets for all your needs on a broad patio.  If you bring a telescope or binoculars, please be willing to share views with our guests who have no equipment.  Be sure to dress in layers for the cold weather months.

NOTE: This is NOT A TWO-DAY EVENT. We hope the weather will be great on Friday, July 10, but if it isn’t, and the forecast looks better for Saturday, we will postpone one day and hold this event on Saturday, July 11. We will keep you closely informed via email, so keep an eye on your in-box, and be aware that the forecast CAN change rapidly.
