Searching for Type II Low Metallicity Stars

Are you interested in the science behind astronomy? Do you enjoy learning about the latest discoveries in space exploration, cosmology, planetary science, or astrophysics? Do you like discussing current research and exploring the questions scientists are working to answer?

The Scientific Special Interest Group (SSIG) provides a welcoming environment for DAS members who want to deepen their understanding of astronomy and space science. Through presentations, discussions, and member-led topics, SSIG explores a wide range of scientific subjects, from our Solar System to the farthest reaches of the universe. Whether you’re new to astronomy or have a strong scientific background, you’ll find opportunities to learn, share ideas, and engage with fellow enthusiasts.

Our SSIG group is one of the many benefits of DAS membership. If you’d like to join, reach out via email: ssig@denverastro.org or Slack: #ssig-general
