The Star Hopper’s Guide to the Universe

Do you like looking at stars and want to learn how to find interesting things in the night sky? There’s a free book called The Star Hopper’s Guide to the Universe that can help you with that.
This book was created for people who want to use the star hopping technique. Star hopping is when you find bright stars in the sky and use them to “hop” to other objects like galaxies and star clusters. It’s great for people who don’t have a GoTo telescope.
The book has over 170 pages with star charts and instructions. Each page has two charts:
-
The first chart shows you how to find the area in the sky using well-known constellations like Orion or Leo asterisms like the Big Dipper or Summer Triangle.

The second chart is more detailed and shows you how to move from one star to another to find the object you’re looking for.

The book also has information about each object, like how bright it is and how big it is. Some objects even have pictures to show you what they look like. The book is organized by constellations. Each constellation has a summary page that shows the list of objects and some facts about them. There are links to more information if you want to learn more.
You can print out the pages you need or the whole book. You can also look at it on a computer or tablet. The book is free to share with others as long as you don’t sell it.
