“Distant Earths”

Presented by Michael Carroll

Writer, lecturer and artist Michael Carroll has nearly thirty books in print. He is a science journalist and children’s author, and has written for such magazines as Astronomy Now (UK), Popular science, Astronomy, Asimov’s, Analog, Sky & Telescope, Clubhouse, Odyssey, Sea Frontiers, and Artists magazines.

His books include SPACE ART, (Random House/Watcon Guptil), Alien Volcanoes, (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2008, with Rosaly Lopes) Living Among Giants, Exploring and Settling the Outer Solar System (Springer), Drifting on Alien Winds, and others.

The business portion of the January general meeting will include Nominations for DAS Officers and Trustees (E-Board) for the 2018-2019 Fiscal Year. We’ll be voting on the nominees at the February meeting.

After the meeting there will be a reception with refreshments at DU’s Historic Chamberlin Observatory, to which all present will be invited.
